Our Story

Founded in Spring 2025 as Daughters of Promise, our organization began with a simple belief that every young woman deserves to know her worth, walk in confidence, and live with purpose. What started as a small mentoring group has grown into a faith-based movement nurturing leadership, grace, and God-centered identity. In 2026, we expanded our mission to become Sons & Daughters of Promise, welcoming both young men and young women into a community built on faith, purpose, and promise.

Our mission is to empower young men and young women through mentorship, etiquette, spiritual growth, and leadership training, guiding them to develop Christ-centered character and confidence to fulfill their God-given promise.

We envision a generation of sons and daughters who walk in excellence, lead with integrity, and reflect the love of Christ in every sphere of influence.

What We Do

Mentorship – Guiding young men and young women through personal, academic, and spiritual growth.
Etiquette & Leadership – Teaching grace, respect, confidence, and purpose in action.
Community & Service – Building compassion and responsibility through outreach and impact projects.
The Debutantes & Beaus Experience – Celebrating the journey from promise to purpose at our annual Sons & Daughters of Promise Celebration.

Meet Our Founders

Dr. Nyesha Barnes is an educator, author, and mentor dedicated to helping young people discover their divine identity and God-given potential. She founded Daughters of Promise in Spring 2025 with a passion for guiding young women toward lives rooted in faith, confidence, and purpose. Through mentorship, education, and spiritual development, the organization quickly grew into a faith-based movement within the community.

Alongside her husband, Pastor Willie Barnes III, Dr. Barnes expanded the vision in 2026 to become Sons & Daughters of Promise, welcoming both young men and young women into a nurturing environment centered on leadership, character, and a Christ-centered identity. Together, they are committed to shaping lives that reflect God’s promise, purpose, and calling for the next generation.
